Post Three: CURATION

What pieces are you going to select for your portfolio?

For the required pieces, I plan on choosing a paper from creative writing and news writing from the applied writing section and my final rhetorical argument from the theory, history, and research category. I also want to include my script from Scriptwriting, DU Better Campaign news report from News Writing, and two papers from my psychology major.

For the revision assignment, I plan on revising a memoir about the beach I wrote for my environmental writing course. I want to turn it into a piece for a travel magazine and maybe make it about "how the beach heals us" or something along those lines. This piece is slightly abstract and full of metaphors, so I feel that it would be fun to revise. Also, the beach house I am referring to throughout this piece was recently sold, which makes it even more of a meaningful piece!
